We live in challenging times, when life is tough for everyone. However there are people among us for whom our help is not just important – it is a matter of life and death. There are those who cannot manage without the support of the Community, without the participation of each and every one of us.

Among the clients of the Social Center, there are 14 individuals who need assistance with the basic daily activities. For various reasons, they struggle to move independently, take care of personal hygiene, keep their living space clean, or prepare meals. They need assistance to schedule appointments with doctors or social workers. However, they do not have the necessary status to receive sufficient and regular social support from grantors, and the cost of such services per month is approximately 4,000 euros.

To continue supporting these individuals through the end of the year, we need to raise an additional 10,000 euros.

Every 25 euros raised covers two hours of home care, or for some, it means a clean bed, timely medication, and a prepared meal.

Donations of 50 euros provide four hours of care, which could mean a thorough cleaning of the apartment and  the chance to go outside for a walk with the help of a caregiver. And, of course, any time spent with others—not alone—offers emotional support, giving them the strength to keep going.

The Jewish people have survived because of our tradition of helping one another. Let’s not stand aside in someone’s time of need this time as well!
